Game Rules
Quizernity is a competitive knowledge game where players conquer a universe of scientific topics by answering quiz questions.
π― Objective
Capture as many star nodes as possible on the knowledge graph. The player with the most nodes wins!
πΊοΈ The Knowledge Graph
The game map is a graph of interconnected scientific topics (stars). Each star represents a subject area like physics, chemistry, or biology. Stars are grouped into constellations by discipline.
βοΈ Capturing Stars
- β’ To capture an unclaimed star, click on it and pass the quiz (answer at least 7 out of 10 questions correctly).
- β’ You can only attack stars that are adjacent to your existing territory. Your first star can be any unclaimed node.
- β’ To steal a star from another player, you must score higher than their best attempt on that node.
πͺ Planets
- β’ Each star has orbiting planets representing subtopics. You can conquer planets of stars you already own.
- β’ Conquered planets provide defense: each planet reduces the quiz time for anyone attacking that star by 30 seconds.
- β’ Planet quizzes have 10 questions focused on the specific subtopic. You must answer all 10 correctly to conquer the planet.
π Theory
Each star has study material you can review before attempting a quiz. Use the "Study Theory" button on any node to prepare.
π Scoring
- β’ Your score depends on accuracy (correct answers) and speed (time remaining).
- β’ Base quiz time is 120 seconds, minus 30 seconds for each planet the defender has conquered on that star.
π Items
You can earn special items by performing well on quizzes:
- π°οΈ Space Probe β earned by scoring 9/10 or higher. Use it during a quiz to eliminate 2 wrong answers, leaving you with a 50/50 chance.
- β±οΈ Clock β earned by scoring 7/10 or higher. Use it during a quiz to add 10 extra seconds to your timer.
π‘ Tips
- β Study the theory before attempting quizzes.
- β Conquer planets to defend your stars.
- β Expand strategically β attack adjacent nodes to build connected territory.
- β Check the leaderboard to track your progress.
